St.John De Britto
Est. in 2004

St. John De Britto Region was established bifurcating St. Thomas Province (South) of the congregation. This new region is named after the great martyrof Tamilnadu. The activities of the region will be centred mainly in the state of Tamilnadu. The region was formally inaugurated on 21st April 2004 by Rt. Rev. Dr. Leon Dharmaraj, Bishop of Kottar at Thomayarpuram Mission, Thadikkarankonam. Very Rev. Bro. Joseph Karimalayil, Superior General, Bro. Vijay Kumar Pereira, the Asst. Superior General, Bros. Alphonse & Zacharias-General Councilors, many Brothers from South & Central Provinces, a large number of priests, religious and laity were present to witness the event. Bro. S. Victor General was appointed by the general councilor as the first Regional Superior for a term of 3 years.
